Snuffle Mats are an essential item for a healthy, happy pup!
These mats provide much needed enrichment for pets of all ages and stages in life.

These sturdy mats are handmade with double knotted soft fleece ties and come in two sizes – small and regular – and endless colour combinations.

Snuffle mats are great for:
  • Harnessing your dog’s natural instincts to sniff, forage and borrow in an appropriate and suitable way
  • Engaging both your dog’s body and mind
  • Mental stimulation for pets with limited mobility (post-operation) or during poor weather conditions (cold/wet days and hot summer days confined in the air conditioning)
  • Slowing down fast eaters or ‘gulpers’
  • Encouraging nose work and training
  • Reducing stress and calming anxious pets (due to the level of sniffing required)
  • Keeping your pet entertained and distracted (especially in different environments)

How To Use
  • Scatter treats or dry food (such as kibble) over the mat
  • Ruffle the fleece ties with your hands to ensure the treats/food are mixed between all the ties and hidden
  • Place the mat on the ground and watch your dog snuffle
  • Once your dog is finished, shake the mat out so any leftover crumbs, kibble or treats do not end up in the wash

Care Instructions

Prior to washing, shake the mat out to remove any leftover crumbs, kibble or treats.

Mats are machine washable on a cold gentle cycle with mild detergent.

Add 1-2 towels to the load and an additional rinse cycle to ensure there is no remaining detergent residue (and no damage to the mat or your machine).

Do not put your mat in the dryer - lay flat in the shade to dry and prevent fading.

 

Caution
Mats are not designed to be used without supervision and are not recommended to be left around the house (especially near destructive pets).

Snuffle Mats are a pet enrichment toy, so please be mindful to put the mat away and out of reach once play is finished.
